Saddened By The Times

If it was not for the goals I have set in my life and that of The LightHouse , I would be so depressed and saddened by the violence that Toronto has been plagued with lately. Two more shootings of youth again today . One yesterday, a woman murdered the day before that. What has happened to modern society that we live in such barbaric ways? We all claim to live in the best of times, but I find this to be an untruth. We COULD live in that type of time, but we have become lost in our quest for the fastest wealth, the “keeping up with the Jones “, sexual conquers and living a life centered on our individual self. Society is supposed to be governed by citizens who work together for the betterment of all. This is not just a utopian theory, but also, a genetically implanted characteristic. Human’s are a “ society ” based species. We have hunted, gathered and protected each other since the beginning of our time. We do not do that anymore. Our lives are continuously being bombarded

Irritated Nipple Syndrome (again)

As fall has arrived I am once again Plagued with the horrible INS, so, I am re-publishing a blog I wrote in November 2007 It seems to my contorted malformed outlook towards this self labeled existence your homo sapient species declare as humanity that as “Atomic Mother Earth” has another one of her annual menopausal temperature episodes, you are dancing in cohesion to her moods and wants. If my memory does not fail me, then, I recall that not just twenty-four hours ago I was strolling the Danforth in a T-shirt and blue jeans. I recall my endocentric annoyance at the sweat gathering in the furrow of my brow as I glinted from the warm brightness of the summer comparable sunlight. Yet, on this bright Thursday morn, “Atomic Mother Earth” has decided to plague me with the dreaded “Irritated Nipple Syndrome” . My whole life I suffered from “INS” . The symptoms of which is a debilitating and very sensitive soreness of the good old human teats. There is nothing ever so p

Toronto’s Cabbagetown Murder

All murders are SENSELESS , but this one was just WRONG! Anyone who knows or even thinks they may know this piece of garbage that stabbed this poor woman to death, please, please speak up !!!! My mother was murdered in 1981 and not one day has gone by since that I do not shed a tear for her. Now this poor woman has left behind four children and they are sitting in Northern Africa with no idea why this has happened.

Time for Learning, Time to Teach

I cannot understand how society does not see that we are in crisis. Society is flawed as it always has been. The exception here being that in past generations we repaired the ‘broken’ aspects by working together and teaching and learning from such. The youth of today, (the adults, also), are being robbed of their most important years. The culprit is modern “new age thinking” and technology. In this so-called modern age we have put so much stress upon youth that they must become adult thinkers before they even know what adulthood actually is. They are bombarded by media of every sort. The ballistic payload being “dress this way”, “idolize this behavior”, “buy this now” and other such campaigns as the consumption of alcohol, drugs and partying. Sex has become just that – sex – sex is an animal act, humans should make love and definitely, young teenagers do not need to be sharing their bodies casually with numerous mates.I know of so many kids that have had so many sex r

The Amanda Todd Tragedy

This is a very sad picture of what social media and cyber bullying and our schools have become. Being on this planet for five and a half decades now, I shall never understand what is happening to our society. We let our children dress like adults, sex is meaningless, friendships are disposable, morals are nearly non-existent, schools can no longer teach right and wrong, family life has been distracted by texting and video games, parents cannot discipline their own children in fear of losing them.  I pass by a high school four times each day and I see 13 year old girls wearing less clothing then your average stripper. I see huddles of youth smoking pot right outside the school. I am sad - sad for my sons generations and what they will experience as adults. Did it start when teachers and parents lost their power to discipline? Or was it when we allowed the inmates to run the asylum? Maybe it was when we discarded the dining room table and replaced it with eating in front o
