  WITH TRUMP’S INSULTS TOWARDS OUR NATION AGAIN THIS MORNING SAYING BOTH WE AND MEXICO NEED THE STATES TO SURVIVE , I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT WE NEED TO DOUBLE DOWN STATES . WE NEED TO STOP SELLING THE EASTERN AND WASHINGTON STATE “DISCOUNTED” HYDRO. RAISE THE PRICE AND ADD A TARIFF! WE SHOULD RETHINK HOW MUCH OIL GOES OWN THE PIPELINE TO TEXAS! WITH WHAT THE STATES HAVE DONE TO THE OIL ECONOMY WORLDWIDE PERHAPS WE SHOULD STOP SELLING OURS AND MAKE SURE CANADIANS ARE WELL SUPPLIED! WE SHOULD DO THE SAME WITH OUR POTASH THAT THEIR FARMERS DESPERATELY NEED TO FERTILIZE THEIR CROPS. OUR RARE MINERALS SHOULD BE TOTALLY OFF LIMITS! WE SHOULD BE MATCHING TARIFF FOR TARIFF!   Canada does not hesitate to send our water bombers and our firefighters to help you Americans. We have always been there to assist the United States during any diasaster. You don’t even need to ask, we are right there. How do you repay our friendship and assistance? Your demented President wants to add additional tariffs on us for the “smoke”! Until you backstabbed us and threatened to destroy our economy, we were your largest trade partner and closest friends.   Well Campers, The best advice this old LightHouse can give those who are still enjoying the benefits of youth would be, “Young Bloods, … “As you are walking down the street, take a look around.” “Paying close attention to what the majority of people are doing as they ‘walk’. “How many of them are walking down the street without taking their eyes off their devices screens?” Often, while I am walking my dogs, I witness people, literally, walk blindly into telephone poles, stop signs, garbage cans and each other. I have actually seen a person walk out into rush hour traffic and struck by a car. (Thankfully, the injuries they received were serious but not life threatening.) I cannot count the number of times someone has freaked out on me because I shouted a warning when they were about to step on or trip over my precious Princesses Ruffles and Pringles.   I will never understand why the States are completely complicit with the terrorist activity of Israel! Willingly joining them in committing war crime after war crime! Why would such a once great nation do anything that Israel asks? Including starting and fighting a war for them in Iran so the terrorist IDF Forces could watch from afar as 13 U.S. soldiers and 160 Iranian school children lose their lives. A war that for the first few months even Trump had no idea why he started! When Trump finally decided it was a war he bounced from one senseless reason to another until recently when he decided it was to stop Iran from building an invisible nuclear weapon. Do you think humans will ever colonize Mars? What would life there actually look like? Do I think humans will ever colonize Mars? I think we will die trying. Personally, I think that although we believe our technology is advanced enough to accomplish such a feat  i t certainly is not! Just because we can make it happen doesn’t necessarily mean we can do so successfully. What would life there actually look like? It would be the equivalent of doing life without parole in solitary confinement. Having a group of people confined in such a closed environment, adding in human nature with it’s emotional flaws, and you get a ticking time bomb. Sadly, we humans, no matter how cool and collective, can only tolerate being in confined quarters with each other for a limited period before we will begin to aggravate each other. It isn’t like we would be able to “go for a walk” to reset our emotions and thoughts. Even though humans are “societal” creatures, they are, at the same time, “solitary” an...

  I remember a time when going to a sports game was a family affair. The wife and I often took our oldest son to a Blue Jays game and by doing so built a stronger family bond. It was a little “ pricey “, but worth me having to work a couple of hours overtime every now and then. With my second boy we could not afford to go as often, but did go occasionally. There was a nine year gap in their ages and during that gap ticket prices began to slowly creep up. To the extent that I would have to work a day or two overtime to afford the family excursion. By the time son number three came into our perfectly dysfunctional family, going to a sports or concert venue was not even a consideration. Between son one and three there was a twenty year gap. Between sons two and three there was a thirteen year difference. By the time Number Three Son came along the players or performers were getting paid extremely high wages. Attending a game or show was beyond my wallets ability. Fast forward another ...

I believe in minimalism in a minimalist way.

  With all the times I have died, how will I know when I am actually dead and not going to wake up on life support yet one more time? I have been legally dead, resuscitated and dependant upon very frightening life support to live thirteen times in the last decade. They were all for medical reasons. I had an additional three other instances in the late eighties and early nineties. I kid you not! These are all documented in my medical history. In many ways they were a curse. All things, good or bad, come with a price. They become very toxic, tiresome and extremely annoying all at the same time. Many years I walked through life in a dark fog of constant worry and fear. “Will it to happen again today?” It was not easy worrying if yet another organ would need emergency surgery, or I had another heart attack or post radiation side effects attack my body once again. It was destroying me! Until the day I snapped out of that paranoid fueled self-pity depression. That day I asked myself how ...

If I knew that my lessons learned would be the lessons I knew I learned to know that which I now know I knew, then, perhaps, I would know that which I already knew but neglected to know   that I knew I knew. You know???

     When I sleep is when I am the most awake. On the opposite side, when I am awake is when my mind sleeps. How do we know when we are consciously awake? Is it when we dream of robots dreaming of electric sheep or is it when the darkness of dreaming awakens thoughts best forgotten? How do we know when our dreams are actually reality? What a concept.” For the majority of my 69 years of life I have agreed with Carlin. Reality is a conceptual interpretation of what the seeker seeks to discover within the reality of the realism their individuality perceives.
