Such A Long Time

"Been a long time since I left adolescence" It seemed like a marvellous plan at the time, me leaving home to become a roaming long haired leaping gnome. The Elders tried to warn me of what lay ahead on the path called life. I never did listen well. I would walk many a charmed path and I most definitely crawled through many a briar ridden uphill struggle to reach a life lesson. I have no regrets, but the ones I am tormented by. The darkness within for the many wrongs I mastered. I can only suffer in my own guilt till such a time as I face The Judgement and plead my case. Living my most memorable years from the late sixties till present day, I have Blessed my soul with meeting over ten thousand souls - visited many places and if Jimi Hendrix was to sing to me, "Have YOU ever been experienced?" I would reply "Yes, yes I have." I began dabbling in drug culture at the ripe age of ten. Shocking as it sounds, truth so it is. Times were changing then. Co...

Reminiscence

Reminiscence   – yes, do it! For within our past lays what is within our future.  We learn from our days gone by – be it good or not so good – life lessons for the wandering soul, the stay at home persona and the youth on the grow. You humans are flawed and this is a trait best served on the platter of knowledge with a side order of “Now I knows”. Who has not gained experience from hindsight? Who has not risen after falling into the murky waters of “Oops!” In my half century plus upon this Atomic Mother Earth, I have fallen, crashed & burned, swallowed the acrid waters of defeat, wallowed in the churning pools of success and danced within the jaws of Satan himself . Many an occasion have I believed my end had finally arrived, (as it did seven times), only to discover that although I danced in His jaws, I walked with The Original Hippie, or as you humans have named him, the Son of God.  I am not a ‘holy’ man by any means. I have a belief in The...

This will peeve a lot of you off, but I say' "Oh Well"

Humans are violent by genetics - left overs from the hunting & gathering era's. Unfortunately our world and technology has evolved beyond the human minds capability to really understand what we have created and what we have become. We are still but infants in the universes. Although we have the intelligence to create all this technology and cities, etc. we have not evolved far enough as a species to control human behaviorism and honestly comprehend what technology is doing to our society, We need to backtrack a bit and bring back some of the old 'proven' ways of society. Discipline and respect are being lost in the hustle and bustle of just attempting to live in this fast paced society. Our youth need the guidance of "The Elders" and the wisdom that follows it. Severe crimes need very severe sentencing. Many will disagree with this point, but having lived on the streets since the age of twelve (43 years ago) I can honestly say that many o...

WEAPONS = LIFE SENTENCE

Sad state of affairs for society when you have a man in China stabbing twenty plus children and an idiot in the U.S. shooting kids. THERE IS NO REASON IN OUR MODERN SOCIETY FOR ANYONE TO OWN A GUN!!! (with the exception of very remote areas where hunting is necessary to survive) There should be a mandatory life sentence just for carrying one. Now, everyone can get mad at me all they want, but I speak from past mistakes. Thirty years ago I carried and used one and I did my time, but in all reality I should have done a lot more time then what I was given. If you carry one eventually you will use it and it is always an innocent person who gets hurt. It is amazing how the killers family always say, "He was such a loving family guy." Sure, towards his own family, but not an ounce of passion for the victims of his actions. It is time we brought faith back into the schools and educate our youth on compassion for fellow man, consequences for their actions and most of all R...

Seven Reasons To Keep On Dancing

So, May is about to end and we shall begin the journey into June with all it's fine weather and the Light of a summer sun. May was rough this year. The tragic death of a close and dear friend, Sheena Eve (missing you dearly) added to the emotions that I have been wracked with these past few months. The incompetency of the government in the way they deal with monetary issues - funny how if you happen to owe them money you must pay right away, BUT if they owe you, "The cheque is in the mail". The Creators took our Sheena . I overstand why. A few times in your life you will be Blessed with intertwining your path with that of certain unique and truly precious souls. Sheena was/is such. Never from her mouth would you hear an argument or unfounded bad word. Her aura was violet, her eyes were peace, tranquility and joy. When she walked into a darkened room, the Light would follow - she was a "Sparkle Bitch" ( a term she used herself). Her physical self has left...

BANG!

BANG! Bang! ...................We hear it in the evening, we read about it during the day and we live it continuously. Gang!.................... Our society has always had them, sometimes under the guise of “GROUPS”, or “CLUBS” or, sometimes, as the ever so elusive “ASSOCIATIONS”. Our children have been forced into this humanistic behaviorism by the instilled genetic wanderlust to be needed, to be protected, to feel important. The Cosmic Muffin set upon us the freedoms of choice – the knowledge between 'right' and 'wrong' . It is 'we' who have misinterpreted the meaning of what is in our natural existence and the constant craving to be a “PART” of our individual and collective societal dance. My heart aches every time I hear the thunder of gunfire, my skeletal framework throbs in agony when I read of another fallen youth and my mind cries to the Heavens when I am forced to watch the visualization of “MURDER” on my six o'clock news. As many of you are alr...

Music as a Universal Language

Through all the ages mankind has used lyrics and music to express their feelings, wants and current affairs. Despite the insistent repeated messages of all the bands and individual musicians throughout the sixties, society chose not to heed the warnings. Now, forty years later, we have realized that those warnings were quite well founded. Whether it was the Beatles, Bob Dylan or whoever, their message was the same. "Give peace a chance ". They attempted to teach us that this beautiful planet was meant to be "shared" in a unison of peace and oneness. Yes, music is a universal language and in my opinion the greatest language mankind could ever devise. Spoken languages and differential dialects become one - the rhythms and lyrics can unite two totally opposite societal bands and throughout the duration all sides can dance to the same beat. So, let our modern day minstrels bring on the "noise" and let us all become "Third Eye Sighted...
