As I sit here on this sunny Sunday gazing out at my beloved Scarborough – that East Side slab of the Greater Toronto Area, I ponder.  The GTA is famous for having as many trees as people.  Below is a few pictures of the average view from any point in this marvelous city within a city. As you can see, it’s a concrete jungle with a  green laced frock. People  forget to look around at times.  Walking their paths with their mind on their money and money on their mind.  Heads forcibly bent down waiting for the next electronic message. Blinded by the hustle and bustle of modern day survival.  Prisoners of busy lifestyle and the constant worry of “How will I make it till cheque day”. This saddens me.  I am a victim, also. "What is wrong with people?" "What is happening to society?" I ask these questions constantly, for I just do not comprehend what is taking place in our world. We have been raising youth for at least two generations who seem to think they are owed everything and should not have to work for it. THE GREATEST DEFECT IN MODERN SOCIETY IS "POLITICAL CORRECTNESS" . It is a very disheartening state of affairs when hurting someone's feelings takes precedent over what is the proper and " right " action to take. The modern day train of thought is unreal. There shall never be a Utopian society in our so-called ' modern ' world. Mankind is still too infantile to get past our genetically instilled want for superiority over each other. Our ' religious ' misconception that the ' church' is always right and all political parties are always ' corrupt '. Let us take a peak at, say, the Art of Catholicism ..... ...

Well, it is June third. The Million Deplorable Canadians are beginning their (OUR) march on Parliament Hill and other locations across our once peacefully beautiful country. This march I feel will show how disgusted the Canadian people are with this so-called Liberal government. Civil unrest is growing across this nation. Our leader has caused much division and hate among us. AND THAT SADDENS AND WORRIES ME. Unfortunately, I am not in the position to attend the Ottawa march but I definitely will be heading to Queens Park. EVEN THOUGH OUR MAYOR IS SAYING WE WILL BE ARRESTED DUE TO THE LACK OF A PERMIT. Sad state of affairs and when you must pay the very people money to protest against their policies. Sad state of affairs when we are FORCED to protest in a democratic society. How any true Canadian can even think of defending ANYTHING the Liberals are doing or already have done baffles me. Selling Canada by the pound to the enemies.  I am ashamed at my fellow countrymen for sitting on their asses and allowing this schizophrenic undercover Islamic sympathizer to change our values and ways to appease "refugees".    Think about it this way - these "refugees" arrive here with paperwork issued by someone in their homeland - we have to take it at face value that the said paperwork is accurate. I AM TIRED. ....VERY TIRED ​As I sit here fighting this demon at three o'clock in the morning,  I am totally ashamed and disgusted with myself for what I have done to my life and the affect it has upon my child. I cannot recall one minute of my past existence that can compare to the disaster which I now am living. I am lost. I am broken.  I am repairable and I know which path I should be walking on, but I cannot repair myself.  Deep down inside I am struggling with a very dark entity and I am riddled with guilt,  shame, weakness and dangerous emotions. I know I am mentally  stronger than most people.  I know that all things must pass I know I will never take the cowards way out of this sorrow.  I know that I am truly loved by many, many beautiful souls, for it is their love and friendship that fuels my fighter and  logical self. BUT ...... I must confess that I am weak -  I am so very tired.   I fear I have not the ps...

There is a large difference between following a religion and believing in a higher power. Religion is MAN-MADE - belief comes from the soul and all creatures, all living life has an energy that no science, no religion can explain. Religion will be/is the downfall of mankind. Just another type of gang in a race of people who have always formed into groups claiming their gang is better than your gang. And now I will hear from all the fanatical gang members - Catholic's will Bless themselves, Muslim's will tell me there is only their faith, the extremist will rape my budgie. You are all a boxed set - gang members hiding under the cloaks of man-made opinions. I have been dead seven times - WHAT A SURPRISE YOU ALL HAVE COMING UPON YOUR DEATH - no virgins, no Tim Horton's in the clouds - just penance and explanations to why you lived your life the way you have.

Wake each day and give thanks that you are here. Wake each day and give thanks for your family. Wake each day and give thanks for the roof above your head. Wake each day and give thanks for the food in your kitchen. Wake each day and give thanks for the air, the Sun and the bounty of nature. Wake each day and give thanks for the wisdom the Creator's have given. Wake each day and give thanks for all you have in this space/time continuum. Go to rest every night knowing that you will give thanks again when morning befalls you. Give praise to whoever you may perceive as the Creator's - believe me when I tell you, they are all seeing and all knowledgeable. Blessed was I to have lived the life I have so as I could pass my experience to those who may be guided not to follow my path. May they follow the path of righteousness and love. So, here we are, August 24th, 2015. What a mind fart! I have been "Walking with Dann" for nigh on fifty-seven plus years now. Walking with a limp, mumbling when I speak and laughing when I can. We all have our own demons lurking on the back streets of our minds. We have all done good and bad. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, mine was the latter. Often I have spoken about my darkside and I do so out of the pride of knowing that I AM ACCOUNTABLE for my actions. I hold the responsibility for that which I have done. Just as I hold the guilt for the pain I have caused. Do you wonder who it is I have harmed the most? My family, my children. It has not been easy for them to grow in life with one such as I as a father figure. The Hippie, the Biker, the Electrician, the Gangbanger and The LightHouse. I have been stabbed, shot, beaten, tortured, kidnapped, imprisoned and - the worst of all - allowed to die seven times and have to return. My own personal Hell...

Milli Vanilli Was Not The Worst So, we all know what is happening on this gorgeous planet. We all say things have to change. We all pledge to assist in saving the Earth. Then, we all jump into an over horse-powered vehicle, attend the drive through at Tim Horton's, light a cigarette and scratch the itch that damn polyester sweater gave us. LGBT Pride or Pride In General OK, here we go ........  Firstly, I am not homophobic. Secondly, I take pride in living a life that serves as a role model for others. It is getting to the point whereas I am almost convinced to stop watching my television.  For many months I watched and listened as City Hall spent more time trying to dethrone the Mayor, other then running our beautiful city. This media ruckus still continues, but, alas, like everyone else I have grown immune to it.  Now, God Bless those trustee's that had the courage to begin the discussion concerning the nudity at the Pride Parade. This is a topic that can be very volatile and biased.  Personally, I expect a lot of angry feedback from what I am about to author.
