“Combined Editions“

As the title says, I have combined my published collections into “Combined Editions“.
First though, I would like to take the opportunity to promote my latest works.  A book no soul should have to author.
“Old Man With The ‘C’ – A Cancerous Walk With Dann”
I have completed the story of my year long battle with late stage 4, non-treatable Squamous Cell Carcinoma.
It has been a whirlwind of tests. One after the other.
I learned at a very young age that nothing comes without a cost.At 61 years old I have now been diagnosed with oropharyngeal and Squamous Cell Carcinoma.I
have documented this battle in real-time within the bindings of this book.I have not followed a chronological order, as often it was necessary to reflect back to a previous surgery, procedure or situation or leap to present time.
Cancer is a dark infliction to say the least.I attempt to keep the negativity to a minimum, but, it was a difficult task that due to the negativity side of Carcinoma.
Generally, the average person is unwilling to openly discuss the horrors that accompany cancer treatment. As a loved one or friend it is very difficult and disheartening to observe.
For the patient, it is a walk through Dante’s Inferno to say the least.
My battle was complicated by the various and numerous other surgeries I have gone through these past two decades.
Heart attacks, complete dissection and re-building of my C2 – C3 & C5 – C6 vertebrae, splenectomy, nine surgeries on my kidneys and gall bladder (removed) and many more roadblocks on my way to recovery.
This volume tells a story, a true story of what I have gone through both physically and psychologically wise.
I hold nothing back and readily offer up emotions, be them sad, happy, mad or whatever.
I wish to show you the side of being a Cancer Warrior that not many others have published or even vocalized.

This is the front cover of the paperback. It shows me smoking a good Cuban Cigar while wearing a Che’ hat. Defiant till the end.
The Title runs down the spine. I like the simplicity of the front cover

The Complete Walk With Dann Collection

The Complete Walk With Dann Collection - 2nd Edition
The Second Edition of my Autobiographical “Walk With Dann Collection” is now available, in ALL formats, exclusively on Amazon and Kindle.
I made some changes and re-wrote parts as necessary. I added information I felt relevant to the telling of my story.
I have combined the four volumes – “Damaged”, “Bane”, “Boon” and “Unkz – A Canadian Cosmonaut” into one singular volume.
I felt this best as the series is now complete.
It also saves the readers money by purchasing all four volumes at approximately 65% of the original cost if bought separately.
Look for it on Amazon as well as all my other works.

WODTrio1

I combined the first 3 volumes of the “Walking On Dawes Collection“.

I WANT TO BE ‘FLOKI’”

Walking On Dawes Collection”

Volume 1”
This is a tale of a family who live their lives within the gang life. Except Little Ray. He and his family want him to break the cycle and live a normal life.”
There is tragedy, laughter and most of all ‘insight’ within.

You Can’t See Me”

Walking On Dawes Collection”

Volume 2”

This is a portrait of a broken man living a broken life in a broken world where family and friendship are one and the same.
Where wrong choices can lead to lifelong regrets. Haunting the very soul and stabbing the heart daily to remind you of the penalties of actions.
Where a man can be all alone and unnoticed in a crowded room.
Where sadness shadows joy and joy masks sadness.
This is the life of one man on one street in one city.”

6315 – The Original Urban Viking”

“Walking On Dawes Collection”

Volume 3”

Life can be unfair. It can be brutal.
Especially for an inner city young man growing up in the projects.
This is a tale of such a man. A man who walked many paths. Who made choices – good and bad. Who experienced love, hate, joy and sadness and bears the scars to show their result.
A man who chose the path of gang life over grade school classes. A man who’s rocking horse was a Harley Davidson. His playground was the streets. His graduation was held in a Federal Penitentiary.
A man who found remorse and regrets haunting him throughout his adulthood.
A man who wanted out.
A man who wished for peace in his soul and calmness in his heart.
His name,
6315 – The Original Urban Viking”

Court still prohibits marijuana possession

Court still prohibits marijuana possession Shannon Kari, National Post Published: Thursday, December 11, 2008 The prohibition against simple possession of marijuana has been upheld by an Ontario Superior Court judge, in a closely watched case that stemmed from the prosecution of Clifford Long, who was arrested by Toronto police with $40 worth of cannabis. Justice Eva Frank overturned a decision by a lower court judge last year that found there was no valid restriction against possession of cannabis because of flaws with the country's medical marijuana regulations. The lower court decision led to confusion about prosecuting simple possession cases in Ontario, said the federal government in its arguments before Judge Frank earlier this year. The federal Crown argued that the present policies of Health Canada have resulted in enough marijuana for the nearly 2,000 people with medical certificates to possess the drug. Judge Frank agreed with the arguments made by federal government lawy

Demons Of Guilt

Menu The LightHouse Dann Verner Some say my that my life has been a tragic sad tale. Only from their view point. Having lived through my life I can say it has been a damn good ride. I fear not dying for to die is final. To be waiting for that one final jolt of pain is extremely difficult to deal with. DEMONS OF GUILT This is a reflection of the pain I am going through as I finish my son’s biography. Delaney Jordan McLean Verner, 29 years old. Jordan “Bubba” Verner On Christmas morning 2019, hung himself in a town called Black Diamond . An obscure town in the underbelly of Alberta, Canada. He and his wife of 12 years, Katelyn had gone their to start a new life. Hoping to escape the homelessness rut and street life they were “Groundhog Day “  living on the streets of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A dream that collapsed and left them stranded, freezing and hungry. Only to have Alberta Social Services rudely tell him and his wife to “Go home”. By any way they could. But, a big “but”….. Adding

My Opinion Regarding the Israeli/Hamas War

Listen to this episode on Spotify or wherever you stream podcasts. How can it be all right for one side of a war ( Israel)  to bomb innocent civilians, but not okay for the other side ( Hamas)  to do so? Common sense would tell you that the majority of the people living in the Gaza strip are not supporters of the barbarism of the Hamas. They would much rather be living peaceful lives. Not living under the reign of fear from the Hamas. Largest part of the Gaza strip problem is that if the Hamas were to allow the innocent to leave, where could they go? Israel? Egypt? The majority of the Palestinian people are in the same boat as the average citizen of Afghanistan, Iraq or Syria. They are labeled and condemned by the actions of their governing leaders. The terrorist government controls every and all aspects of their everyday lives. You can not believe that all Palestinian citizens want to go to war. Their hands are tied and their voices are silenced by their leaders If they were to spea
