There come times throughout our lives where we have to take a long slow breathe and set “it” aside.
What “it” you ask?
The “it” in this case is the one that is ever present in our lives.
That “it” that on numerous occasions causes you to shout at the ceiling,
“What is this “bullcrap”?”
One of those moments where, while vigorously pulling your hair out, you loudly proclaim,
“This is bullcrap!“
And during that moment you are right in believing so!
We may be made of flesh, bones and blood, but in reality we are machines. Biologically constructed, complex machines.
Every machine has moments of down time. Scheduled maintenance or emergency repairs.
Something that life shares with our bodies.
Emergency down time, that is.
To further complicate matters we are individualized complex machines with even more complex onboard computerised operating systems.
These operating systems are routed to three connections.
The first is “publicly” and openly connected to the world wide web.
Allowing us to communicate, function and cohabitate with our fellow mankind.
There is another semi-public neuro network.
The one we label as “family and friends”. Located in that Twilight Zone between public knowledge and family affairs.
We wear a mask of neighbourly love as we interact with the “sheeple” we know as our neighbours and as our family.
However, when alone with family, we have secrets we share not with our fellow sheeple.
Family secrets. Perhaps good. Perhaps not so good. Secrets never shared beyond the halls of family.
There is a third and final connection.
It is invaluable.
Therefore, we keep it securely locked down in a “closed”, secured VPN protected system.
Commonly it is referred to as “our mind“.
The mind is so complex that we, ourselves, do not understand how or why it works.
Unfortunately, it did not come with an owner/operator manual.
Yet, here we are using and abusing it with no nevermind. (Pun intended!)
The mind is a true self propelled never stopping machine. Even as we sleep or in coma it never stops running.
Every now and then you will blow a fuse. Allow them to blow.
These will be the moments where for whatever reason our brains become overwhelmed and malfunction.
When this happens you may find yourself setting all aside, looking up to the sky and exclaiming,
“This is bullcrap!“
And chances are you are correct!
There are times when it’s okay to not be okay.
During these moments it is fine to pop your cork and blow off the built up steam.
The pressure we know as “life!”.
