The Crisis In Canada's Medical And Healthcare Systems Are Solvable
The government has vowed and is in the process of expediting the procedure and processing of foreign medical professionals. Many are here but forced to work entry level jobs due to having been educated outside of Canada. I don’t understand why the process is so slow and tedious. It should not take months, even years, to vet their credentials. These professionals are trained in all fields of healthcare and diagnostics. All of which are greatly needed. Canada is experiencing a severe shortage of, not just surgeons and Physicians, but medical staff of all levels. Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Personal Support Workers, Orderlies, Lab techs, Diagnostic Specialists and any of the many caregivers needed to provide proper healthcare. Our greatest need is “Family Physicians” and “Emergency Department Doctors”. Canada is at a never seen before “Crisis” level when it comes to Physicians in both these areas.
