WALKING ON SUNSHINE

I went for a walk today, wearing nothing but a t-shirt and jeans. This made me reminisce about the past when this could not have been. Ten years ago I would have required to wear a parka and all the bells and whistles that accompany such.

Global warming – the myth? No, the reality.

 

Mind you, I am located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. But, having resided here for nigh on thirty years, I have slowly witnessed the disappearance of winter storms. Yes, we have had a bit of snow and some extremely chilled days, but not like those of days long past. I enjoy this mild winters – mainly due to listening to other people who complain constantly how they hate this winter weather. It is amusing to hear such whining.

Imagine if they all were in Newfoundland & Labrador right now! Here is an average winter’s day for them ……..

 

WHAT WOULD THESE PEOPLE DO IF FACED WITH THIS????

So, one must ask one’s self, “What will it be like in another decade down the road?

Politicians, scientist and such are constantly telling us that we need to take ‘action’. I see futile attempts at this so-called ‘action’. The Kyoto Accord fiasco – the going green fiasco and most of all the powers-that-be fiasco’s. All of these are just masking the real problem.

 

THE REALITY OF THIS WHOLE SCENARIO IS THAT WE, THE HUMAN POPULATION, ARE DESTROYING THE EARTH WITH LITTLE REGARD FOR ALL THE OTHER SPECIES WHO SHARE THIS BEAUTIFUL BLUE MARBLE WITH US. HUMANS HAVE NOW REACHED ALMOST SEVEN BILLION IN POPULATION!!! NO OTHER SPECIES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF INSECTS HAVE REACHED THIS LIMIT.

Thus, here in lays the problem. We are too great in numbers – simple as that! Science has already told us that the Earth cannot sustain a population this great. There simply is not enough resources left to feed, clothe and house such an enormous group.

 

I do not know the answer to our woes, as does no other man. I am not saying we need to thin the herd or dispose of souls. Mother Earth is saying that and She is very vengeful. We are but tenants here and our lease agreement states that we are to take very proper care of the rental premises, we are to keep our ‘yard’ clean, we are required to leave the premises as we discovered it upon the original rental. If I were our landlord, I would EVICT us.

Meanwhile, I shall just enjoy this wonderful day and smile at the idiosyncrasies of the humans.

I shall pray that Mother Earth does not start Her spring cleaning before I have ascended to my higher plain.
