LGBT Pride or Pride In General

OK, here we go ........ 

Firstly, I am not homophobic. Secondly, I take pride in living a life that serves as a role model for others.

It is getting to the point whereas I am almost convinced to stop watching my television.  For many months I watched and listened as City Hall spent more time trying to dethrone the Mayor, other then running our beautiful city. This media ruckus still continues, but, alas, like everyone else I have grown immune to it. 

Now, God Bless those trustee's that had the courage to begin the discussion concerning the nudity at the Pride Parade. This is a topic that can be very volatile and biased. 

Personally, I expect a lot of angry feedback from what I am about to author.

I have lived on this planet for fifty-six and a half years, of which I have spent thirty-four of as a resident of Toronto. I have NEVER approved of the Pride Parade. Like our Mayor, I have never, nor shall I ever, attend such.

Not because I am homophobic - not at all. 

The reason I refuse to attend is many fold. First, I was raised Catholic. Second, I was raised that sexuality and sex, itself, belong in the confides of a home, not in public. Third, I am ill with disgust that to strut naked or cross-dressed down the streets of what was once known as, "Toronto The Good" is allowed.

Anyone still remember that logo?

So, lets look at this from a Catholic point of view : 

The Bible, (for the ignorant this is our equivalent of the Koran, etc..) states that we were designed to be with the OPPOSITE sex. We were designed to PROCREATE. You cannot do that with a person of the same sex. Well, not quite yet. But, I imagine there is some Frankenstein scientist somewhere's altering what God, The Cosmic Muffin or whatever you call your Creator has already created. 

Within the confides of the Bible there is a little story about a pair of towns named Sodom and Gomorrah. Ever heard of these? It didn't end well for these poor souls. They lived a life that was reckless, drug and alcohol infused and promiscuous sexuality was abundant.

Oh my Lords!!!! I think I just described the whole Western world!!!!

Let us analysis the Pope's role in this. Oh wait, he - being the Holiest of all Catholics - the one person on this planet who should be promoting the Bible - well, he decided it was ok for him to change what the Catholic Lord has etched into stone. So, let us just forget what he has to say cause he is part of the problem.

I am not a Catholic anymore. Not for these reasons, but rather due to the fact that I believe, heart and soul, that Religion is just the original politics. I have been legally dead seven times now. (A story too complicated to address at this time.) From these seven paths I have walked I discovered that definitely there is a HIGHER authority - an omnibus of power that the human mind cannot begin to conceive until such a time as Death comes a knocking.

I DO BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE'S MESSAGE. THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN TWO THOUSAND OR MORE YEARS AGO BY VARIOUS AUTHORS AND CONTRIBUTORS. IT WAS AUTHORED IN A LANGUAGE THAT HUMAN'S WERE CAPABLE OF UNDERSTANDING AT THAT POINT IN OUR EVOLUTION. 

THIS HOLY BOOK, AS ALL HOLY BOOKS, IS/WAS A GUIDELINE ON HOW SOCIETY SHOULD CONDUCT ITSELF TO ASSURE A BEAUTIFUL CO-EXISTENCE WITH EACH OTHER AND ALL OTHER LIFE UPON THIS PLANET.

So look at us now. To hang our heads in shame is fine. We should. We are badly behaved Children of God. (Remember him? He is in those Holy Books.)

Personally, I have broken nine of the Ten Commandments - HOW MANY HAVE YOU PERSONALLY BROKEN???

My Catholic side has great fears that The Creators are soon to dredge the Bay of Life and clean all the dirt from within. 

Now to my second reasoning: 

Sex and love making are two very, very, very opposite acts. Sex is an animalistic hormone infused ritual. Sex can be bought, sold or even given away freely. LOVE MAKING is an emotion. An emotion derived from LOVE. The genetic desire to procreate and raise a family. An act that shows your spouse that your love is greater then any other emotion within your soul.

I cannot, even with a computer, tell you how many adolescent children I personally know who have had sex before the age of fourteen. Sadly, many of which are now parents before they are even adults. How disheartening this is. The scary part of this is that they are free to raise these children without even having the knowledge that ONLY comes from maturity. 

A CHILD SHOULD NEVER BE THE SAME AGE AS IT'S PARENT!!!!

I was extremely Blessed to be raised by foster parents and parents who instilled within me a simple characteristic - PRIDE. Yes, I said it - PRIDE!!! 

I have pride in the fact that my children have never observed porn in my presence, pride in knowing that they also believe that sexual acts are not to be applied in public and most of all that they fully understand that intimacy is and should be within the confides of home and not in front of others. A kiss, a hug and such is fine - children should see LOVE within the home and society. 

Yes, I am "Old School". Those who are old enough to remember will understand. 

Look at the television shows our youth are watching. Even the animated ones are full of sexuality and rudeness. The producers even supply 'canned laughter' when a child is being extremely rude.

Our schools teach our children that parents cannot discipline them - our schools are promoting LGBT Rights. Our schools have removed prayer. Our schools allow drug use openly at most "high" schools. If you do not believe this go and stand outside any "high" school in this city. 

The school around the corner from me is full of gun toting, saggy panted punks who spend most of their day tormenting the students who want to learn. 

But, I am getting off my topic.

So - my third reasoning:

I have never seen a HETEROSEXUAL PRIDE DAY. (Just saying...)

I AM A PROUD HETEROSEXUAL!!!!

Apparently, the Pride Parade brings in many dollars. OH, THERE IT IS - $$$$$$$$$$$$ - AHA, SILLY ME. Such an obvious reasoning. I HONESTLY DID NOT COMPREHEND THAT HETEROSEXUAL VISITORS DO NOT SPEND MONEY. (Wonder why I am always broke then?)

All humour aside, I truly believe that society does need a cleansing. I truly believe that cleansing is coming soon. Either by the hands of The Creators or by mankind themselves, but it is coming. 

Society has been riding in the express lanes for too long now. To be a collective thinker it would take moving right a couple of lanes into the collector lanes.

I am so saddened by all of this. The half naked prepubescent teens, the blatant sexuality everywhere and the total lack of family pride and structure.

This is a volatile subject that I shall address further in my blogs. 

Until then, let me ask that you to stop to smell the defecation of society - we used to smell the roses, but not many of our children still have their flowers. That is SAD.

A close friend asked me what I thought was the reasoning behind why the Muslim's and Islamic's despise Western Culture's ways. To me that is actually very simple. 

Their religious leaders and their family still teach the proper way to conduct oneself within society. I AM NOT SPEAKING ABOUT THE TERRORIST FACTIONS - I SPEAK OF THE FUNDAMENTAL RELIGIOUS AND FAMILY STRUCTURES THAT THEIR HOLY BOOKS HAVE INSTILLED WITHIN THEIR SOCIETY.

In closing, I once again give praise to the School Trustee's who have had the courage to finally tell the world that the Pride Parade should be no different then any other parade. To make us think about what Toronto is showing and telling the world. 

I wish Canadians were not so lackadaisical about life and would stand up once and for all and put a stop to the Sodom and Gomorrah that this once gorgeous city has embarked on.
