With all the oil, infrastructure and refineries we have in Canada why are we affected by what is taking place between the States, Israel  and Iran?

I understand that oil is a commodity and all the politics that complicate the situation ....

BUT ...

Why don't we sell our oil to our citizens at the lowest possible price?

Why are we paying global market prices when we have some of the largest oil reserves in the world?

Sell Canadian oil to Canadian people at Canadian prices!!!
