“Pre-seperation my two ex-wives had that same sourpuss look on their faces.”

Odd how Danielle Smith’s remarks somehow remind me of what you would expect to hear come from Donald Trump’s ignorant mouth.

Canada is well known as a country with a huge multi-cultural population.

A country that many come to receive an education from our highly ranked institutions.

That said, wouldn’t it be more beneficial for us to assist these learned people with obtaining post graduation employment?

Rather than mimic the United States by rudely demand they immediately leave when finished learning?

Take into account that these foreign students pay much more in tuition fees than Canadian born students pay.

If they wish to become permanent residents and use their newly acquired education to work and contribute to our beautiful nation then why shouldn’t we do everything in our power to assist them?

Remember …

“Canada was built by immigrants”.

The way Smith talks certainly sounds like Trump.

Take their over inflated tuition fees and then kick them out is something we expect from Trump and his ICE agents.

It definitely goes against our core values!

Especially when they want to thank us by becoming much needed workers.

We should be proud of their wanting to contribute to our society.

Canada has a large amount of baby boomers who are either retired or soon to retire. This will create an even greater shortage of skilled workers.

Look at our medical facilities and their shortage of staff at all levels within the medical professions.

We should not sound like we are ungrateful!

We definitely should not appear as only to have allowed them to study here merely to get their tuition fees!

My fellow countrymen, please, please, please do not let us adopt cold, calloused attitudes like those of the United States.

Instead …

Let’s say a big “Thank you” and make them feel welcomed to be here.
