Update Re: Today's Hospital Appointments

Home from a day of testing at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
So far all the results for the cancer show I am still in remission.
However,
I have many post treatment complications.
Today’s appointment showed something serious is going on with my trachea air way.
I have had it for six years now.
They weren’t meant to be “permanent”.
I had asked for them to remove me it.
They are saying it is best to see what is going on before removing it.
Removing it is easy.
Due to the tissue damage from the radiation and my having it for over six years now it may be impossible to put back in.

That would certainly be a disaster because I would have to be on a respirator for the remainder of my life.
I agree to doing a full work up before making such a tough decision.
I have full confidence in my treatment team. (After all, Princess Margaret is a world renowned treatment centre.)
So, I will be getting every type of scan there is and a complete investigation of my airway and throat.
The largest tumor I had was a two inch one on the base of my tongue.
The radiation treatments destroyed it but destroyed my throat in the process.
Worry not Campers!
I got this!
Just a bump on the road we call life!
