It is a collection of short stories, roving ramblings, long thoughts, whimsical ideologies, serious banters, cryptic poetry and my opinionated opinions . Each unique in their own ways. Each a portrait of that moment in my time. Subliminal messages may lay cloaked within serious insights of society as I perceive it to be. My education was not obtained from the hallowed halls of a prestigious house of knowledge. I attended the schools of life and the universities of the unseen society.

  Remember I tell you this, “I do not feel 68 years old, nor do I feel like I am.” “ Growing old sucks! “ Aging may be a natural part of life but no one or thing dictates that we have to like it. I am certainly living with that “ anger “   that accompanies aging. As we mature our bodies rebel against the natural occurring degradation of aging. If I had been prewarned that our actions of yesterday were to be solely responsible for the accumulation of tomorrow’s chronic fatigue and pains, I would have been more gentle to my body these past 68 years. I would not have put myself in the position of requiring multiple trips to the Emergency Department of my local hospital. One would think that instead of a geriatric rebellion our bodies would have met us halfway and done it’s best to adapt to the adaptation of adapting to the maladies of aging. Unfortunately that is not the case. I n my case it lied to me. That dishonesty manifesting in the form of unusual aches, pains and strains....

  Have you taken the time lately to stop and take a genuine assessment of the society we have created? Not a “ look “. Not a “ glance “. A sincere and unbiased study   of   what you see before you . If you have done so then you know that what you have seen is a society in turmoil. A world that preaches … ..  “ All men are equal.” Even though we definitely are not. A world that preaches ….. “ Love they neighbour “. Only when we are not killing each other. (Although it is not uncommon for us to love our neighbour’s spouse.) Most days we are harming our neighbours. Be it via war, or deceitfulness, or adultry, or bigotry. Oh, here’s the biggest farce of them all …. “Thy shall not kill.” (Give me a minute so I can stop laughing at this one. This one literally ‘kills’ me.)   The murder of  National  Guardsman Sarah Beckstrom and the serious wounding of National Guardsman Andrew Wolfe  by Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan National refugee brought in to the United States via the “Operation Allies Welcome” emergency resettlement program   has now put the other 200,000 refugees in an extremely dangerous situation. An hour immediately after the shooting Donald Trump, more or less, declared what can only be called an  “Immigration War”  against the almost a quarter of a million Afghans who entered the country. When the Taliban took control of Afghanistan the emergency evacuation of the Americans and the Afghans who were assisting them by the Biden Administration was chaotic and botched, the to say the least. Thousands upon thousands of Afghan civilians who had assisted the American and Allied Military Forces were fleeing for their very lives.
