Cancer’s not an easy Beast to slay.
Sadly, I know this too well having been battling it for seven years now. In and out of remission more times than I expected.
Following are a few photos of me at various stages of my battle.

This is me this evening.

January 29th, 2019 strapped into my radiation cage for my first of 80 experimental Radical Radiation treatments in a twenty day session.

November 2018
The Battle begins.

March 2019
They had to extract all my teeth because the targetted Radiation was destroying them.

Late 2019
I can feel the changes in my body.

Spring 2020
Removed a section of my bowel.
I don’t want to think about that experience.

Autumn 2020
I have no religion but I have Faith

Skipping ahead to Spring 2021
Abscessed Feeding Tube

Summer 2021 Home for a visit after 33 weeks in Princess Margaret Cancer Center

Spring 2022 Have a cigar Warrior. You deserve it!

2020 My beard fell off shortly after this pic was taken. First day I was allowed to go outside for air.

Summer 2023 My beard had fallen off in 2020 and it is finally growing back. My two soul mates by my side.

Things getting worrisome!

So much for eating food. Trach airway installed. 7 years later and I still have it.

March 7, 2021. My spleen exploded.

52 Staples

My Irish Temper, good days, bad days!

2022 I weighed 67 pounds.

Bloated from massive doses of dexamethasone.

Woe is me!

These are merely a few of what my body and mind has been through since I was diagnosed on October 28th, 2018.
Cancer is a horrific disease.
Cancer hurts.
I quickly learned that “Positivity” is Cancer’s “nemesis”
I believe that I have survived this far by making my positivity the main priority of my life.
It has been a seven year nightmare and I am still fighting to live each day.
I will NEVER allow this Beast to ruin my day!
After all I am not only a “realist” by faith, I am also “The Original Urban Viking”
And my Valhalla is not ready for me yet.
