Premier Ford Seems To Have Forgotten That Ontario Is One Thirteenth Of Canada

Premier Doug Ford seems to have forgotten that Ontario is one thirteenth of Canada as a whole.
Ford’s cockiness is going to grow a resentment of Ontario from the rest of Canada’s provinces and territories.
I fully understand his being upset regarding the owners of “Crown Royal” decision to close their bottling plant in Ontario.
We must remember that there are times where a company must act in the best interests of the company and to ensure it’s survival.
A business cannot follow a political agenda if it is positive that agenda will do long term harm and impede their success.
Yes, Crown Royal is hurting some 200 employees by shutting down the bottling plant.
No, Crown Royal is NOT relocating it’s operation Stateside!
Ford wants us to boycott Crown Royal due to the closing of the bottling plant in Ontario.
THIS IS NOT A GOOD MOVE!
Crown Royal may be foreign owned. However, it is an iconic Canadian brand.
They still employ many Canadians in other provinces.
CROWN ROYAL IS STILL BEING MADE IN CANADA!
They are using 100 percent Canadian grains and still employ Canadian workers in Manitoba.
To boycott Crown Royal is to hurt the farmers and the Manitoban employees.
Yes, 200 Ontario workers are losing their jobs.
But, is the possiblity of making more Canadians unemployed going to help us?
Ford is doing what he feels is best for his province.
With little regard for the rest of Canada.
Will it do good if we boycott Crown Royal and perhaps cause the demise of the employees in the other provinces?
Next is Ford’s stance on the autoworkers.
The Trump Dictatorship has made it very obvious that they have full intentions of moving all their automobile manufacturing Stateside.
They are well on their way of doing so.
However, to achieve their goal will take years. They have to build the necessary infrastructure to be able to relocate their manufacturing facilities.
Ford is angry at Prime Minister Carney over his recent China visit and the progress Carney has made with securing additional trade deals with China.
Deals that will benefit ALL Canadians!
China is willing to lower their tariffs on Canola oil and perhaps seed.
China was our largest buyer of our Canola.
Our farmers are sitting on huge amounts of Canola due to China buying elsewhere.
Prime Minister Carney has agreed to allow China to import 49 thousand EV’s.
China has agreed to lower the tariffs against us and they are more than “interested” in building solid trade partnerships.
(The fact that they are importing them does not mean they will sell them.)
Although apparently the Chinese EV’s are better equipped and definitely far cheaper than their American counterparts.
This situation is much similar to what took place with Germany’s Volkswagen.
There are many Volkswagens on North American streets. There are many American and Japanese vehicles.
The auto consumers and manufacturers have found a way to live in harmony.
Premier Ford has to put his personal opinions aside and look at the big picture laid out before him.
Times have changed since the insanity of the Trump Dictatorship”s successful coup of the States.
Canada had become too comfortable with our relationship with the old “United States”.
Those days of complicity are gone. Lost in the fog of confusion birthed by the newly formed “Divided States of America”.
Ford has to understand that this is the time for Canada to pull together as one nation, not 10 provinces and 3 territories.
It is a time for our leaders to find and secure a variety of foreign trade opportunities and partnerships.
It is a time that may require the sacrifice of a few for the benefit of many.
Time to break our complicit dependency of trading with mostly the States.
It’s a time to take our eggs out of the one basket and make them available to numerous customers.
Canada is Blessed with plethora of natural resources.
Natural resources that every nation on Earth wants, needs and will buy if we are willing to sell.
So, although 200 Ontarians will lose there job, hundreds of farmers and workers across the country will get to keep theirs.
Yes, we know the auto sector is going to take a hit. However, we also know that the States have full intentions of slowly moving their auto manufacturing out of Canada completely.
Knowing that is a definite fact, we would be idiots not to look towards foreign auto makers to set up shop here in Canada.
Premier Ford has to understand that a trade deal with China would be a massive boost to Canada’s economy and world status.
It’s not only about cars and canola.
It’s about filling in the ecommerce pockets left empty by the actions of the States and their attempts to bully Canada into doing America’s bidding.
It is not the time for divisiveness or uncertainties amongst ourselves.
It is time for brotherhood and unity.
Canada is one nation! Not 13 individual neighborhoods.
