still.

Tiny bodies,

rubble’s tangled mess

Bodies lay,

mangled,

in unrest.

even toddlers,

terrorist be.

The sniper’s bullet

takes

wee life,

you see?

Beneath mountains

of war’s debris

lay many more

than they admit to be.

Birds,

no longer,

sing song.

Even they sense

this to be wrong.

from all nations,

complain.
